When Grandma and Grandpa retired out west a little bit ago, we got a few things from their pantry. One was a loaf of rye bread. So, I tapped my head, “think, think, think” and tried to figure out how I could get these children to eat it. They are very good about eating my homemade bread but I wasn’t sure about rye.
So I went with the obvious, grilled cheese.
It worked! And it was ready speedy quick by using the griddle.
An easy Saturday evening meal, paired with apple slices and chips.
Simple and dressed up.
