Several of the children really have fun with the free site, Club Penguin. “Waddle around and meet new friends.” They have each created a penguin for free and decorated an igloo for their penguins. They have pet puffles. Of course, you can pay a fee for a membership. Then your penguin can enjoy special clothes, new rooms for your igloos, and different colored puffles. Grandparents have given gift cards for month-long memberships. The children have also received memberships as a reward for service opportunities.
“Puffles!” are what Littlest Girl loves best. Even Eldest Boy agrees,”They are always improving it and they have lots of parties.”
So, one day not too long ago, Youngest Girl came to me and asked, “Can we have a puffle party?” I wondered what a puffle party really meant. So, I asked her to plan it out. She showed me a Puffle Cake we could make from the Fun Activities part of the Club Penguin website. She also thought O’Berry Smoothies would be fun.
So we decided we would have a puffle party at tea time. Enjoy some cooking fun in prep for the party. We even made the cake with egg substitute so Lil’ Buddy could have a slice too!
Now the cake didn’t quite turn out as we’d hoped. But that didn’t spoil the party. We still tinted the icing the blue she wanted, decorated the cake. And we enjoyed O’Berry Smoothies. (Plus that overflowing part of the cake made for some really good taste testing).
Not much effort to make a girl’s day and have a little puffle party fun!

Oh, my kids love Club Penguin, too!! A Puffle party sounds like a wonderful idea! We might add this to our Camp activities. You know, I had the same cake problem with James’ birthday cake, but I wasn’t smart enough to put a pan under it! Oh, the oven looked great, let me tell you!

We might join you in another puffle party for family camp! I think the cake recipe really should be for two cake pans – it overflowed big time!
