“But we were all packed and … now… we’re doomed!”
My four-year-old’s response when I told her we could not go to the American Girl Bistro for a tea party lunch with Grandma and friends. That the boys wouldn’t get to play with Grandpa.
“Mama is sick. And we can’t give germs to our friends or to Grandma and Grandpa.” The cold came on in the night.
So, what do you do when Mama is sick? On a day that should have been a field trip. A day to be school work free. A day planned for, money set aside, everything all set. *Sniff*
Can you make a habit of finding delight in the doom and gloom? Please excuse the germs and click to read more over on Hodgepodge…
