Coming off of a crazy vacation left little time for a new post, so I thought I’d share a great fall (or anytime!) recipe from my mom’s recipe box that has become a staple in mine. It’s about as quick to make as it is to type 🙂
Taffy Apple Dip
Ingredients:
8 oz cream cheese, softened
3/4 c. brown sugar, packed
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1/2 c. Heath toffee bits (or peanuts)
Apples – about 5-6
Directions:
Cream together first three ingredients. Fold in toffee bits by hand. Chill.
Just before serving, cut apples into wedges. Give them a bath in sprite to prevent browning.
I usually double this when taking to a function so I can leave some at home 😉

Oh, is this the dip you brought to the moms meeting? Thank you! I especially like the tip to double it 🙂

The very same! And I double it for the kids, of course 😉
