First Love

When you first fall in love; you want to be with that special someone as much as possible, you want to know everything about them, you want to look at them, hold them, be held by them, you simple want them.

The past couple of months it is like I have fallen in love all over again, not with my husband (though I love him dearly) but with my Lord!! I think about Him, His word and His ways more throughout each day than I have in a very long time. I have spent more time with my Lord in His word these last couple of months than I have my whole life. I have that first love feeling and I am loving it!

I pray that you are tremendously blessed spiritually as you spend time with your Lord in His word. I pray that no matter how your relationship is right now; good or not so good, that you will come to know Him for the first time or again or you will always know HIM as YOUR FIRST and most important LOVE !!

May  God never be able to say this about us…………..

But I have this [one charge to make] against you: that you have left (abandoned) the love that you had at first [you have deserted Me, your first love]. Revelation 2:4

but let us continue to allow our Lord to wash us with His word………….

Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her to make her holy, cleansing[b] her by the washing with water through the word, and to present her to himself as a radiant church, without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and blameless. Ephesians 5:25-27

Thank you for encouraging this– a true passion and love for the Savior. If we struggle with having Him be our first love, we can pray and ask for it! So appreciate the godly wisdom shared on Habits for a Happy Home! Thank you! 🙂
