No peanut, no tree nut, no egg. Safe for our crew. Continuing our tradition of trying new Sunbutter® recipes! And this one has a bit of cocoa. Yum.
Plus, of course, you can’t go wrong with butter and powdered sugar.
Just stir all the ingredients together, scoop, roll and put your thumb in the middle. That counts as cooking fun!
No baking means there’s less time until the tasting!

P.S. – this could easily be made with peanut butter in non-allergic households.

Wow this looks so great, Tricia! I’m tweeting it, too. Did you make it up?

Hey Cassandra – Our lovely friends at Sunbutter have put together a wonderful recipe section of their site. I think a fellow Sunbutter fan in ND contributed this. You can follow the recipe link at the very end of the post or click here: http://www.sunbutter.com/recipes-SunButter-Buttons.php Thanks for the tweet and let me know how you like them.

Thanks for sharing. I also used vegan butter and rice milk to make it dairy free for my daughter who is allergic to dairy. So it also worked well for my peanut allergic son! So quick and easy, the kids loved it.

That is smart Patti! I do love that these are so easy – and allergy safe!

Mmmm! These are great when blood sugar is low and you need a quick, filling snack. Last time I made them, they came out a little mushy, so this time I used softened, not melted, butter and only half what it called for. I also added a teaspoon of vanilla extract, enhancing the flavor even further.
Now that I’ve eaten one, (with a glass of milk, of course!) I feel I can go on with my morning. Thanks for the recipe!
