James does art at our co-op. I need to schedule in some art lessons for this spring for the rest. Quentin is always drawing something on his own.

Oh, sorry I forgot to answer the question. I usually find things on Pinterest, we have used Nana’s tutorials, and I love the 52 Art Lab for Kids.

Hodpodge is really great and such nice people. Even being older, I’m learning a lot about pastels and love the easy to follow e-books purchased.
I haven’t included art in my planning- I would love to finish early and just have fun with art excluding all else!
I love adding random art projects throughout the school year. I usually let my kids’ interests guide me in choosing the medium and subject. Other times, we do art in some of the unit studies we go through.
I’m trying to, but some weeks are just too difficult to. I wish it wasn’t pushed to the back burner, but it sadly is sometimes. 🙁
My boys love art time! I’ve been trying to work in other mediums besides watercolors such as pastels.
We use a mixture of things: Hodgepodge pastels, Meet the Masters, See the LIght Art Program, and Harmony Art Mom Sketch Tuesday. We rotate between the first three, doing one project or lesson each week. (Amazing how techniques from one program fits into the others and how they all work to make us better artists.) The Sketch Tuesday we do as we have time, making it fit most weeks. We have learned a lot using the pastels this past year and look forward to whatever projects you have for the future.
If I win, we will definitely add pastels to the curriculum.
