GOD is NOT dead, NOR does HE sleep!!
Isn’t that FANTASTIC news for those that belong to HIM through HIS son JESUS!!
GOD is NOT dead, NOR does HE sleep!!
Come on read it again, but out loud this time….
GOD is NOT dead, NOR does HE sleep!!
Doesn’t it have an incredibly sweet ring to it….
GOD is NOT dead, NOR does HE sleep!!
If you’re hurting, sick, anxious, confused, or lonely just remind yourself of this truth….
GOD is NOT dead, NOR does HE sleep!!
HE can heal your pain and your sickness, HE can can bring you peace, HE can make things clear, HE is with you and will never leave you…
GOD is NOT dead, NOR does HE sleep!!
HE never has been and HE never will, dead or asleep that is….
No matter what trial or tribulation you may be going through, and no matter what your circumstances look like, take comfort in the beautiful fact that….
Then pealed the bells more loud and deep:
“God is not dead; nor doth he sleep!
The Wrong shall fail,
The Right prevail,
With peace on earth, good-will to men!”

This fact comes from a poem by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow
“I Heard the Bells on Christmas Day” is a Christmas carol based on the 1863 poem “Christmas Bells” by American poet Henry Wadsworth Longfellow.[1] The song tells of the narrator’s despair, upon hearing Christmas bells, that “hate is strong and mocks the song of peace on earth, good will to men”. The carol concludes with the bells carrying renewed hope for peace among mankind.~~wikipedia

A You Tube video of Casting Crowns singing the song I heard the Bells on Christmas Day, which was inspired by the poem below
“Christmas Bells”
(The original poem, complete with all seven stanzas)
“I heard the bells on Christmas Day
Their old familiar carols play,
And wild and sweet
The words repeat
Of peace on earth, good-will to men!
And thought how, as the day had come,
The belfries of all Christendom
Had rolled along
The unbroken song
Of peace on earth, good-will to men!
Till, ringing, singing on its way,
The world revolved from night to day,
A voice, a chime
A chant sublime
Of peace on earth, good-will to men!
Then from each black accursed mouth
The cannon thundered in the South,
And with the sound
The carols drowned
Of peace on earth, good-will to men!
It was as if an earthquake rent
The hearth-stones of a continent,
And made forlorn
The households born
Of peace on earth, good-will to men!
And in despair I bowed my head;
“There is no peace on earth,” I said;
“For hate is strong,
And mocks the song
Of peace on earth, good-will to men!”
Then pealed the bells more loud and deep:
“God is not dead; nor doth he sleep!
The Wrong shall fail,
The Right prevail,
With peace on earth, good-will to men!”

A wonderful promise! Thank you for encouraging Angie. One of my all-time favorite Christmas carols. And I especially love the Casting Crowns version. Can listen to it all the year ’round!
