Why in the world are we talking about homeschool habits when the school year is winding down and summer is calling? Well, I say all the time that the practical speaks to me. And, practically speaking, summer is a good time to build a new habit. To pick one area to work on without the rest of a full school day.
For example, yes, we love our curriculum but how do I work that wonderful resource work our day? We can usually handle the basic reading, writing and arithmetic. But what about brushing teeth? What about the roaming toddler? How do we fit in science and history?
“If you don’t know what you’re doing, pray to the Father. He loves to help. You’ll get his help, and won’t be condescended to when you ask for it. Ask boldly, believingly, without a second thought.” James 1: 1-5, The Message
