I cannot believe we have been homeschooling for fifteen years and have already graduated two of our eight children. The oldest has successfully finished her sophomore year of college and the recent graduate will be attending college this fall. When people tell you, time flies listen to them. In some ways, it just does not seem like that long ago we started our homeschooling journey.
Preacher daddy and I still have six more to school. This upcoming school year we will have a 10th grader, 8th grader, 6th grader, 4th grader and 2nd grader. We also still have a four-year-old running around during school time, which always adds excitement to the day.
Since this month at habits is curriculum month, I thought I would share a few posts and reviews I have shared over the last few years at my blog.
Wall Chart of World History– This is one of my favorite history resources. I have had it for many years. I love how it places biblical history in context with all the other historical events going on in the world. It is a great visual timeline of world history.
Real books and graded readers-Here are my two favorite sets of readers. One reason being the stories are good and wholesome and they are not expensive.
Climbing to Good English– This year when buying curriculum I was on the hunt for an English curriculum that was easy to use, plus not too terribly expensive. I also wanted it to be solid not only in grammar, but also in writing.
Homeschool stuff– Over the years, I have tried many different curricula. Depending on how many I was schooling and if I had a new baby in the house, what I used could change from year to year. So, if you are a homeschooling mom reading this, here are some of my favorite finds that have stood the test of time:
Kim has been married for twenty-three years, a minister’s wife for more than twenty years. She has eight children and has been homeschooling for fourteen years. She would like to say she reads travels and does all kinds of wonderful things in her spare time, but the truth is she spends her spare time doing laundry.

Tricia, It has been a blessing walk the homeschool road with you and your family over the last several years. Without families like yours the journey would not have been nearly as great. 🙂
