Simple Summer Sweetness

For some reason I had a hankerin’ to make a key lime pie for Father’s Day. I’d never made one before, but I figured it would involve some kind of stove-top cooked custard for the filling.  But when I stumbled onto a recipe that called for just 5 ingredients and less than 20 minutes of prep time, I knew that was the pie I was looking for! I couldn’t find key limes, so I just used regular limes. It still tasted great. I served it with fresh vanilla whipped cream (thinking the vanilla-lime combo sounded fantastic – and it was).

You can find the recipe for this super simple pie here.

Have you ever made hot fudge sauce with condensed milk? It is FABulous! 1 can sweetened condensed milk, 2 squares unsweetened chocolate, microwave until the chocolate is melted & stir it all together. YUM!
