The Habit of Laughing

(I am the one on the end in the scarf enjoying a good laugh =)

 I see laughter as a gift from God! When I laugh with my family and my friends and it makes our time together even better!! You may not feel like laughing or think you have anything to laugh about because of circumstances in your life BUT I have found laughter even for just a moment brings a sense of peace, relief and joy and it’s worth it even for just that moment.  I love laughing and I feel very blessed if I can bring laughter to others!! I hope that you enjoy laughter in your life on a regular basis!!!

Laughter is an audible expression or the appearance of happiness, or an inward feeling of joy (laughing on the inside). It may ensue (as a physiological reaction) from jokes, tickling or other stimuli. It is in most cases a very pleasant sensation……..Read more HERE

Humor is infectious. The sound of roaring laughter is far more contagious than any cough, sniffle, or sneeze. When laughter is shared, it binds people together and increases happiness and intimacy. In addition to the domino effect of joy and amusement, laughter also triggers healthy physical changes in the body. Humor and laughter strengthen your immune system, boost your energy, diminish pain, and protect you from the damaging effects of stress. Best of all, this priceless medicine is fun, free, and easy to use. Read More HERE

Ecclesiastes 3:4 — A time to weep, And a time to laugh; A time to mourn, And a time to dance;

With the fearful strain that is on me night and day, if I did not laugh I should die.  ~Abraham Lincoln

Laughter is an instant vacation.  ~Milton Berle

What soap is to the body, laughter is to the soul.  ~Yiddish Proverb

Interesting Read: Research has shown health benefits of laughter ranging from strengthening the immune system to reducing food cravings to increasing one’s threshold for pain. There’s even an emerging therapeutic field known as humor therapy to help people heal more quickly, among other things. Humor also has several important stress relieving benefits.—–Read More HERE at About.com

    LOL! Love it! So true. Even in tense moments of needing to clean up a huge mess… if we laugh it just doesn’t seem so bad. Great quotes and links to info!

    Look what else follows laughter…Psalms 126:2 says, “Our mouths were filled with LAUGHTER, our tongues with songs of joy. THEN it was said among the nations, ‘The LORD has done great things for them.'” Cool, huh?!
