Batch Cooking Biscuits at $5 Dinners

Few things in my stretching-the-budget and filling-tummies career have made as big a difference as biscuits. Do you remember how much the canned variety costs? Oh, I dearly love the convenience. But I don’t like paying for it. Especially when I have to get so many cans to feed the seven of us. And that’s where batch cooking homemade biscuits comes in. But here’s the trick. Don’t make a special effort.

When you double up your biscuits on another day of the week, then you have plenty as Fast Food for Slow Sundays. Join me at $5 Dinners for batch cooking biscuits…

  • For more Sunday lunch ideas – that can be enjoyed any day of the week, see the other recipes posted here in the Fast Food for Slow Sundays category or Fast Food for Slow Sundays at Habits for a Happy Home.

About Hodgepodgemom

Tricia faces a daily dose of chaos homeschooling five children. The biggest lesson she’s learned? At the end of the day – when the dishes are put away and the children are tucked in bed – truly what matters is each child’s relationship with the Lord. Raising children is a God-given privilege and, folks, the time is short.

The convenience of canned biscuits may be great, but the taste is not. Blech! Batch-making biscuits is a much better idea!
