Homeschool Highlights

Children played the piano, violin, guitar. They danced, they sang, they performed. One did a back flip – twice! Tables were filled with the children’s best efforts.

School work, history and science projects. Families all laughed and cheered together.

This annual Homeschool Expo with our homeschool group is much anticipated. It’s a goal, a celebration of accomplishments. Seniors were recognized…

…the youngest ones played.

Our eldest girl sang.

Middle girl helped with a little commercial for the upcoming Alice in Wonderland Drama Troupe production. She’s the white rabbit!

Then it was time for science project awards. Eldest girl’s Egg Substitute project received a third place ribbon for her age group. Middle girl’s Bubbles and eldest boy’s Weather both received special science ribbons – for the artwork on their display boards.

Our family solar system project received a second place ribbon.

(Could have been that there were only two families in that category? Or was it the oreo moon phases that did it?)

Grandparents! Thank you Mama Ann! (Thank you Hodgepodgedad for doing the sound for the show  🙂 )

We got to see cousins from south Georgia!

And I forgot to mention that Hodgepodgedad danced while eldest girl sang at rehearsal.

A fun night!

About Hodgepodgemom

Tricia faces a daily dose of chaos homeschooling five children. The biggest lesson she’s learned? At the end of the day – when the dishes are put away and the children are tucked in bed – truly what matters is each child’s relationship with the Lord. Raising children is a God-given privilege and, folks, the time is short.

Oh, I wish I could have been there! So, so much fun! I would be standing and cheering!
