Sweet Potato Pie Recipe by Nana

Nana’s sweet potato pie recipe is a classic for Thanksgiving or Christmas. Or just for a fall celebration. Simple ingredients and simply delicious.

Nana's sweet potato pie recipe is a classic for Thanksgiving or Christmas. Or just for a fall celebration. Simple ingredients and simply delicious.

For Thanksgiving. For any time of year! There are other pies with streusel topping but Nana’s is a classic, southern style recipe.

Sweet Potato Pie Recipe by Nana

: Nana’s Sweet Potato Pie

 

  1. Sweet potatoes (either 5 or 6 medium baked sweet potatoes or a medium-sized can (about 16 to 20 oz.)
  2. 1 can sweetened condensed milk
  3. Pumpkin pie spices (go heavy on the cinnamon) to taste
  4. 3 T. melted butter
  5. 2 eggs, beaten

 

  1. Mash up the potatoes.
  2. Add the milk, spices, melted butter and eggs.
  3. Pour into deep-dish crust
  4. Cook at 400 degrees for about 35-40 minutes.
  5. (If it looks like too much filling, you can possibly make 2 pies…according to how large your baked sweet potatoes are.)

Cooking time: 40 minute(s)
