It occurred to me this week, as it often does. This homeschool life is full of comforts. But this time I was intentional to catch the images. The many, many comforts of homeschool. How blessed we are to do this thing together. And how quickly these children grow, how fleeting the time. So today, a Collage Friday of our week of comforts…

“The incredible gift of the ordinary! Glory comes streaming from the table of daily life.” ~ Macrina Wiederkehr

“Life is not intended to be simply a round of work, no matter how interesting and important that work may be. A moment’s pause to watch the glory of sunrise or a sunset is soul satisfying, while a bird’s song will set the steps to music all day long.” ~ Laura Ingalls Wilder

“There will be days which are great and everything goes as planned. There will be other days when we aren’t sure why we got out of bed. Regardless of which kind of day it is, we can be assured that God takes care of our daily needs.” ~ Emilie Barnes

Tailoring a schedule so that we can get away on a date night last Friday night with Mary and Hal Prather of Homegrown Learners! The comforts of fellow, like-minded, homeschooling friends!
“Take time to laugh. It is the music of the soul.” ~ author unknown

That’s a perfect way to put this week — the many COMFORTS of homeschooling… looks like a productive week at your house, too!
Great to see you last weekend, my friend!
Loved being with y’all!
Oh, this is a wonderful post. Yes, there are so many wonderful comforts of homeschooling. I love all your examples. Now I feel all comfortable just thinking about it all! It is wonderful that you and Mary are close enough to get together every once in awhile.
Thank you Phyllis – many benefits and comforts!
Oh Tricia! That piano bench is gorgeous! And what a treasure that it was made by your Daddy. What a gift. 🙂
Lauren, it is absolutely gorgeous. Yes, a treasure made by my Daddy and we are so grateful!!
The drawings of the coffee mugs are so neat! The museum looks like fun, too. 1/2 price? Awesome! Glad you had a good week!
Wonderful! Youngest and I had a blast rehearsing her Beauty and the Beast songs, drinking coffee and talking in the afternoon, and laughing at ourselves. I am enjoying these last couple years homeschooling before I have an empty nest.
I hear you Kim!! We really could go on and on about the comforts…
I love that outlook on homeschooling. Yes so many comforts.
As always a great week of learning going on there!
Fantastic Post.
Love your quotes.
Thanks for the reminder to make it fun and to stop and smell the roses, so to speak.
Blessings,
Em
Great post and great reminder of why we do this! The best parenting decision we ever made was to homeschool our children. I can’t imagine having it any other way. Thank you!
