I’ve shared before about our trials and triumphs with allergies. Told about how we’ve left life in the drive thru lane for the road home. The reasons? Well, first we like to eat healthy. Then there is the cost of feeding seven of us and our habit of frugal living. But basically we have to watch what we eat. We rarely eat out and we adapt our meals at home because of allergies to:
- peanut
- tree nut
- egg
We’ve also dealt with wheat allergy (outgrown, hooray!) and, briefly, shellfish. Plus we have a border-line diabetic. But that’s another post.
While we mostly make homemade meals and snacks, it is so nice to have a safe convenience item. So when Grandma and Grandpa brought these boxes of cookies, we were thrilled! All products of Enjoy Life Foods.
Five-year-old’s personal favorite are the gingerbread spice cookies.

I’ll be sharing more about our favorite products and habits for allergy free living. How about you? What have you come across lately that has impressed you in allergy friendly living?

My nephew was born with 22 life threatening food allergies, now down to 5! When my sister first found out about Enjoy Life and their cookies it was an emotional experience. This was when we were all very new to dealing with food allergies and learning about them all, eating cookies is something we all take for granted until we realize that our child cannot eat them! We were all thankful for enjoy life and that he was able to eat cookies right along with all his friends! I love Enjoy Life products!!
I can’t wait to read your food allergy post!

Christy what a testimony! 22 down to 5. And you nailed it. Finding something safe for our children can be an emotional experience. And we do take for granted what we can eat until we are faced with a health issue. It’s all definitely continuing education 🙂
